Judd Lotts

For over 50 years, Judd Lotts has been working with wood. Every creation is handcrafted and unique. Made from hand-selected exotic hardwoods from around the world, the artist emphasizes the natural beauty of the wood. The result is a rare gift that can be both displayed and used.

“I have been in the construction business as a building contractor in California for fifty years. Influenced by my father and grandfather who did woodworking and building, I became interested in this type of work and started doing woodworking and cabinet building in my shop.

I moved to Prescott in December of 2004 and have continued with my woodworking. Every creation I make is individual and handcrafted. My jewelry boxes, armoires, humidors and other wood creations are designed to emphasize the natural beauty of the hand-selected exotic hardwoods from around the world.

Judd has also been collaborating with agate shade artist Jim Pape to create stunning one-of-a-kind lamps.

I hope that the results of my creations can be a gift that can be enjoyed for it’s beauty and it’s function, to be passed from generation to generation.”
