Mark's art education at Rice University was focused primarily on large scale abstract color field painting, as well as the discipline of life drawing. Mark was awarded the Cronie Sayre Art award by Rice University for excellence in the Arts. After completing degrees in Art and Art History, Mark worked in various mixed media and photography, led life drawing workshops, and also became published as a composer. His music has been featured on NPR, Echoes, and Hearts of Space, as well as commercial broadcasts and television. While living and working in the Southwest, Mark's artwork has won awards in numerous juried competitions and group shows in California, Arizona, and Texas. In addition to his photographic art, his photography has been commercially published throughout the U.S., and Europe, including Sedona Monthly in Arizona.
